Progress and streak

The Progress tab shows how well you remember your words. Streak and XP show how regularly you study.

Your words

“Your words” counts your words in four stages: New, Learning, Young and Mature. A word moves on as you remember it for longer.

“Levels” shows, for each level, how many words you have learned well.

Remembered on the first try

This is the share of your reviews that you got right on the first try, over the last 30 days. It counts only words you last saw on an earlier day, so it is an honest measure. At the start it says “Not enough reviews yet.”

Streak and freezes

Your streak is the number of days in a row that count. A day counts when no reviews are left for today, or when you reach your daily goal. You need at least one answer.

Each month you have two streak freezes. A freeze covers one missed day, by itself, and your streak goes on. A third missed day in the same month ends the streak.

XP

A word gives 10 XP for its first answer of the day, right or wrong. Seeing it again the same day gives none. A practice answer gives 2 XP. The Study screen and the Progress tab show your XP of today and in all.

Daily goal

A daily goal is a number of answers a day. Switch on “Set a daily goal” in Settings, under “Studying”. A day then also counts toward your streak once you have given that many answers.
