Change your language

Wordado has two language settings: the language the words are translated into, and the language of the menus. You can change both, and your progress stays.

Where the settings are

Open Settings, then “Languages”. The page has three parts: “Course”, “Native language” and “Interface language”.

Choose a course

Wordado has two courses: English, and German (beta). “Course” shows the one you study. Press it, then “Switch to German” or “Switch to English”. The first time, Wordado asks which language you speak.

Each course keeps its own level, theme and native language. Your streak and daily goal are shared.

Change the translations

“Native language” is the language the words are translated into: Bulgarian, German or Spanish in the English course, Bulgarian, Spanish or English in the German course. Press “Change”, pick a language and press “Change” again.

Wordado then downloads the words in the new language, so you need to be online. If the download fails, your choice is kept and Wordado tries again by itself.

Tip: Your progress stays. Every word you studied keeps its place, only its translation changes.

Change the menus

“Interface language” changes the menus and messages. You can choose your native language or English. The words you learn are always in the language of your course.

The “?” button at the top of the app has the same choice, under “Interface language”. The change is immediate and works offline.

On your other devices

With an account, your native language follows you to your other devices. The interface language is kept for each device, so your phone and your computer can differ.

Offline and on two devices
